Aqualad X Reader Ch4

---Your P.O.V.---

Everyone turned to face you with a stunned expression, including Raven.

"He attacked me on my way here, see?" you say as you pull up your sleeve showing a huge bruise on your arm.

"What happened Rose?" Aqualad asks while staring at the bruise on your arm.

"He tried to take this book of potions that I was carrying with me at the time" you say as a leather bound book appears in your hands.

You hand it to Raven and she glances through it. You pull down your sleeve to make everyone stop staring.

"I could see why he would want this, but why didn't you tear out or burn some of these pages?"

"What do you mean?" you ask incredulously.

"Some of these pages have extremely dark magic surrounding them, but it's hard to sense" Raven says shocked.

"Raven, you know I have trouble when it comes to using or sensing spiritual magic" you sigh.

"Trust me, I know" she laughs while you blush.

"Anyway, I'll see if I can get rid of the dark magic later"

"Lets go stop Red X" Robin says.

Everyone agrees and heads out into the city. You make sure to stay close to Raven and Aqualad because you are not yet used to the city. You can sense Red X's soul up ahead but someone else is with him. That someone has a very strong and evil soul.

"Raven, someone's with him but they have a very strong and evil soul" you say.

"Okay I'll tell Robin" she says as she heads towards Robin.

You watch them for a while and notice Robin seems determined and Raven seems disapproving. You ask Aqualad where the place is and he responds that you're almost there. When you reach the place you can make out docks and warehouses through the fog.

"Doesn't this fog feel a little unnatural maybe even dangerous?" you say softly.

"Dude, are you scared?" Beastboy asks tauntingly.

"Rose is right, this fog does feel unnatural" Aqualad says.

You hear a sound like a body hitting the ground and suddenly feel your sister's soul disappear. The next ones to disappear are Cyborg and Beastboy, then Robin and Starfire, then Mas and Minos, and finally Bumblebee and Speedy. Something pushed you into Aqualad and you both tumbled to the ground. You quickly get up and run to the spot where you feel energy collecting. You see a portal just as it's closing but can tell where it leads. You fall to your knee wondering why every bit of hope you gain quickly disappears. The fog lifts almost immediately and Aqualad sees you on your knees trying not to cry but also looking deep in thought.

---Aqualad's P.O.V.---

Rose must be really strong not to cry in this situation, I think as I walk over to her. I wonder by the look on her face if she has had a really bad past experience. I stop beside her and she doesn't even register me, so I lay my hand on her shoulder and she flinches. She looks up at me with eyes void of emotion, that's when I know many bad things have happened to her. I kneel down and slowly wrap my arms around her and let her go limp against me.

---Your P.O.V.---

I went limp against Aqualad's body in shock; very few people showed me any comfort. Most just called me a freak and walked off, even mother hated me.

"Come on, let's get back to the tower and see if we can track them" Aqualad says softly.

"O-okay, thank you" you stutter weakly.

You both stand up but you stumble, so Aqualad supports you.

"Are you okay?" he asks.

"Yes, I am" you lie weakly.

"No, you're not" he says as he picks you up, making you blush for some unknown reason.
